  • Read technical drawing and used my skills with power tools and hand tools to build sets based on said drawings 

  • Maintained shop infrastructure through cleaning, sorting tools, and resupplying stock

  • Through meticulous planning, drafting, and scale model iterations, designed a realized space that lived within a blackbox theater at UCLA

  • Created puppet designs and cut, printed, and articulated the joints

  • Worked on set of S3 of "Barry" as a non-union (permit) hire

  • This entailed heavy lifting, large-scale construction, and following the foreman's build orders based on readings of the construction plans

  • Dealing with micro budgets, I designed a space and sourced props and furniture within said budget to bring the look to life that the director and I had determined

  • Designed a high end space that the eccentric rich character would occupy, and sourced props and furniture that fit the tonal look that we were hoping to achieve

  • Dressed a rented space by swapping out artwork, furniture, and hand props, fully resetting the house once the film was wrapped

head of construction | Independent Shakespeare Company • Griffith Park, CA |2019

  • Oversaw a team of 4-7 construction workers who were hired through the non-profit ARC (Anti-Recidivism Coalition)

  • Read and translated construction plans to the workers, and built the stage and any set pieces needed for the show, "Shakespeare in the Park"
